britaspiring
Hi gentle ... men and ladies ... I am currently thinking of moving to the good ol' Aussie land and need some help if you kind souls may? In fact back in 2000-01 I lived in Melbourne and studied from Deakin university there. However now I live and work in UK within the commodities sector (Compliance Officer to be precise). I am seeking opportunities within the Energy sector and would like to know how do I go about this? There is an exhibition coming up in March in London but I have heard these places promises too much deliver too little. So whats the best way of securing a job down under? Visas etc .. I am sure I can arrange but need to get employment first? Thanks......
Poptastic22
Search on seek.com.au for suitable positions and contact employers directly regarding potential for Visa etc...alternatively email relevant companies prospectively and ask advice. If your skills are desirable, then you are bound to capture some interest this way Good luck!
Rupert
So whats the best way of securing a job down under? Visas etc .. I am sure I can arrange but need to get employment first? Thanks...... It is more usual to get the visa first, not the job. Having a visa makes finding a job easier. But if you want to try it this way round then it might work for you with luck on your side. Firstly does your occupation qualify for a visa, a job offer is not enough to get a visa, the occupation has to be on the SOl or CSOL so you need to check these first. After that, well there are no tricks and tips to it. You have to find a job same way you always would, job searches, internet, agencies etc.
