JaimeKartel
Evening ladies and gents. A little about me, 24 years young. I recently finished five honorable years in the United States Marine Corps, Infantry. In June 2011, I visited some friends and family in Brisbane, and fell in love. I cant believe how beautiful it is: the air is cleaner, the women are beautiful, people are FRIENDLY, unlike here in the USA. The lifestyle seems way more relaxed. I feel this place is perfect to start my new life. And what better place to continue my education than in Brisbane at the University of Queensland. For those wondering, I do have dual citizenship with Australia and American, and waiting on my Australian passport to be processed. I'm currently working on my application for the July 2013 semester, with interested in Business and Management or Information Technology. Hopefully by the end of March, i'll have finished my Personal Competencies Assessment essay, and have everything ready and in order to send to the University. Although my academic history in high school was anything but stellar (2.7 gpa), I hope my Assessment essay, references, and military history will increase my chances of admission; as High School was 6 years ago for me. I am looking forward to using this forum!

Tickled Pink
The Uni of Queensland is a lovely place, St Lucia campus is in a great location righ by the river. The sports facilities are amazing too! I totally understand why you'd choose it!
Surf N Turf
UQ is a great university but I've also had very good experiences with QUT and Griffith. Just to say, if you don't get your first preference and end up elsewhere, Brisbane could still be as sweet. I really hope you enjoy your new life.
