Recognised Prior Learning

Hi

Has anyone had any experiance with Recognised Prior learning? As my B-Tec is not equivelent to the AQF Diploma i was looking into doing a AQF Equivelent Diploma before applying to Vetasses to have my skills assessed. This would mean that i would have to work another year in my current position to meet Vetasses requirements. I had resigned myself to the fact that is what i would have to do. However after a little research i have discovered that the skills and experiance i already have could in fact gain me the diploma without any need for study (Just alot of hard work collating a portfolio of evidence) via Recognition of prior learning. I just wondered if anyone else had done this and how easy/difficult they found the process. I am a little daunted and quite frankly a little overwhelmed by the whole process and would really appreicate hearing from someone who has been down this route.

It would be great to chat with someone who has already experianced this.

Thanks

I did this and they came down to assess my skills and passed me there and then. I didn't have to write down anything, just showed them my cv and that was it. I highly recommend this route for a number of people.

What is the qualification in?

I gained an Australian Diploma in management via this route - i had to complete a couple of assignments (about 1000 words each) to cover all of the bases

I used a company called Academy 3 - they are based in hobart and were fantastic in getting back to me

Hopefully this may be of some help to you?
