Manjyot Singh
Hello Friends, I am planning to apply Subclass 189 visa but not sure from where to start. From the information i gathered i understood that first i need to get my skills assessed and then apply for EOI. Once i receive invitation I need to lodge my visa. Now i have below questions in mind 1. From where do I have to get my skills assessed. 2. Can I write IELTS after submitting EOI or it has to be done before that. If I can write IELTS after submitting EOI, then while updating in Skills select i will have to select No under IELTS test taken. Will it effect my chances of getting invitation to apply. 3. I am working as SAP HR Fucntional consultant, but not sure under which category it falls under Skills Occupations list. Someone suggested me ICT - Business Analyst. Could you please help me with this. 3. In how many weeks will I receive invitation after submitting EOI.? 4. When do I have to submit my documents? Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks, Manjyot.
mattybe
Hi. Have a good read of all the information provided by Diac. On invitation it depends on how many points you have on how quickly you get an invite. The following should answer your ielts and step queries. http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/1119.pdf http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/skilled-occupations/skills-assessed.htm The above should answer all your questions. arrumac
I expect the ACS will need to assess your skills, I's strongly advise getting a registered agent to help. You need to have secured all your points prior to submitting your EOI, including IELTS.
melvice
Hi Manjyot, Below is the answers for your questions: 1.Depends on which occupation you nominated as, there are different skill assessment for different type of jobs. 2. You have to sit for your IELTS before you submit your EOI because it' part of the requirement. In addition, most of the skill assessment need IELTS to apply. 3. You should engage with an migration agent for advice if you not sure which occupation to be nominated. Choosing the wrong occupation could mess up the whole process. 4. This depends on the points. 5. When in assessment stage, you will need to submit some of the documents. Hope this help you.
