Making a Post on Pomsinoz

We get numerous emails each day from members who do not know how to make a post. Please don't worry it took me a while when I first joined as I thought there would be a button on the homepage and there isn't. So here we go...

How to Post on Pomsinoz

Once you're logged into the site, to make a post on an existing message

thread, (topic) you can either scroll to the bottom of the page, where

you'll see a 'quick reply' section and an area labelled 'message' where you

can type a reply into, then press the 'post quick reply' button (immediately

below the area where you have typed your post).

Alternatively, when you're viewing a message thread, if you look at the left

hand side of the screen, above and below the message thread is a 'reply to

thread' button which you can use to post a message in that thread.

If you want to start a new thread (topic) of your own, you firstly need to

go to the subforum you want to start a thread in.

So for example, from the home page, if you wish to start a thread in our

Welcome forum, click 'Welcome' in the forum list down the left hand side of

the page.

That will take you to this page: http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/welcome/

Directly above all the threads in that forum, you will see a button labelled

'Post New Thread' Similarly, if you scroll to the bottom of the page, the

'Post New Thread' button is duplicated below the thread list.

If you click on either of these buttons, you will be able to start a new

thread.

On a bit of a tangent...is there anyway that you can not be subcribed to threads Kate? If I forget to unsubscribe after posting I end up spending ages deleting emails.

Yes there is, if you click on settings (2 over from your notification link) this will open up another page and on the left hand side you have a menu (you can create signatures, avatars etc here) click on general settings you will then see a heading Messaging and Notifications you then have Default Thread Subscription Mode at this drop down box you can choose if you want to unsubscribe, receive them daily/weekly/instantly.

A quick Note though, if you do this now it may take 24 hours to come in to affect.
