Guest The Pom Queen
Hi Jenny welcome to the forum, I'm not an expert on visas but maybe if you tell us a bit more someone may help, ie are you the main visa holder? What visa are you applying for?
Jenny Oliver
my husband would be the main visa holder, people have told me it might get refused as I'm pregnant, I can't see why but I thought I would try and gather as much info as I can
lebourvellec
No your visa won't be refused because you are pregnant but you will need to delay medicals until baby is born as there is a chest X-ray. It is normal for applications to go on hold for this reason. It makes things easier as after the baby is born they can be added to the application. But if application on hold it will be subject to priority processing if this changes while on hold may be a delay in grant.
gtaark
Does the priority processing change for State Sponsorship also? Rupert
The only impact being pregnant wil have on an application, is that it may need to go on hold because of medicals. It is not a crime to be pregnant, you won't be punished for it.

gtaark
Thanks...I would appreciate if an approx. timeframe can be known (from past visa applicants who have gone thru this phase) for visa finalization after submitting new born documents and medicals... http://www.immi.gov.au/media/fact-sheets/24apriority_skilled.htm
