brum1973
I've had an encouraging response from my assessment through the Agent and I'm expecting to here more this week. It now looks like I could apply for SS to ACT and have been reading their guidelines for the application of approval/nomination. My Occupation is currently open (not sure how often this changes) and will be turning 40 in March. So, wonder if I should be looking at EOI application first or ACT Nomination? Looks to be a fair bit of paperwork to collect for SS, but shouldn't be too tricky, just lots of calling & email approaches. Thanks for any advice, I'm enjoying looking around the site, lots of useful information to take on board.
lebourvellec
Since you will be losing 10 points in March, if your occupation is on SOL 1, you should do both, lodge EOI for 190 and 189, then apply for ACT State Nomination, maybe your EOI for 189 will be picked up before State Nomination comes through, if not hopefully the State Nomination will be approved before March. brum1973
Thanks for the info. My occupation is not on SOL, only the CSOL, therefore rules out 189. It looks like 190 is the route through ACT. I should have an idea on how to move on this (or not) this week. If I apply now though through EOI at age 39, if no acceptance by State nomination has come through by my Birthday, do the points not count as to when I applied?
