memmymooch
Hi am in the habit of keeping bills bank statements etc for a few years, am planning on scanning current file but not sure what to do with hard copy when moving as too bulky for hand luggage and not sure about security of shipping it with furniture- little paranoid since credit card was hacked. prob a silly question but will I need to produce any of that stuff or can just shred it and keep electronic copies for my own records. dmjg
We brought important personal documents like certificates and licences with us, not too bulky. The rest we left in a box at rellies with instructions to burn after an allotted time. Not sure about legality of scanned vs real documents. A quick question for a lawyer? Whenever my uni results were needed, I sent a scanned document with application, I have never been asked to provide any originals. As we still have property, rellies have all those docs in a separate box that they are happy to let sit in the loft for however long necessary.
