lebourvellec
Welcome to PIO No wont likely need a medical for 457 unless have pre-existing medical condition. But you will need to get appropriate health insurance for the visa application. Try IMAN, or BUPA

egrek
We found the UK-OZ medicare was sufficient. And thus free. It covers you for medical emergencies (hospital) and some doctors things. Were told to get the ambulance cover (something like $40 for the year) - as that's not free here. But $40 a year... it practically is!

lebourvellec
You cant get register to Medicare for the Reciprocal Health Care Agreement for UK residents until you are in Australia, but you need appropriate health care to get your visa granted.
