Simonglos
Me and two other mates, me being a mechanic my mate being a mechanic and chef are all on a 457 visa, we have all been on the visa for give or take two years and we want to apply for our pr visas, none of us have applied for our trades to be recognized for our visas as we didn't think we needed too. Can someone please tell me if we have to get our trades recognized for pr or do we have to go through someone like vetassess?
Rupert
It depends what visa you are thinking of? If skilled migration then yes you need skills assessment. If your employers are sponsoring for the pr visa then you don't if you have been thre two years.
Simonglos
Thanks for the reply we have spoken to our bosses and they are willing to sponsor us for our pr. I have personaly had a good look around and the best visa to go on would be a 186 visa, would this be the right visa to apply for?
Tickled Pink
It sounds like it based on the info You have provided. If you have been with the same employer for two years you don't even need to go through the skills assess process.
