Guest spreadingwings
This doesn't apply to me personally as I'm 34, but wondering if any of you guys have first hand experience of what the Aus attitude to mature workers is? Are there jobs for people over 65, paying decent salaries, in decent industries?
Quoll
Most of us are well retired by then! I am sure there are a few over 60s still slogging away at the coal face but decent salaries in decent industries hmmm, not so sure about that. There is a not so subtle ageism in Australia where anyone over generally 50 finds it hard to get on. Of course there will be individuals who might get jobs because of particular skill sets but mostly you are over the hill by 50.
Guest spreadingwings
Really Quoll? Seems quite strange in a country that pays decent wages to every level of worker. What city did you live in in Aus, and why did you leave?
