pointblack78
I have applied for a student visa to study for a PhD but I had to be admitted for schizophrenia 19 months ago. What are the chances that my student visa application will be successful. My case has been referred to the MOC already. I am really worried. I learnt there is a document called Guidance Notes which give insight into the cost of possible medical care for various conditions. Can anyone help me with access to the one on Psychiatric conditions
blossom
Well one of the conditions of a student visa is that you have health insurance for the duration of your visa. So it is possible it may not be an issue. If you DO get issued a visa and are hoping to apply for perminant residency then you should definatly get advice on what your chances would be now. I think I saw another post saying George Lombard is an agent used to dealing with health issues. I'm sure someone will come along to confirm that soon (or he can). pointblack78
Blossom I Can see that you are currently on line. Please do you have any experiences with people who have psychiatric disorders and were able to get visas? I would like to discuss more in private
blossom
No I don't I'm afraid. I think you will need an agent for that. Have a use of the search facility on here. You never know, someone else could very well have asked such questions in the past. Good luck.
