mehealth
Hi I am Peter. I graduated in Slovakia, European union as Master of Nursing. I worked as military nurse for 8 years in Slovakia, and currently working as full time agency nurse in London since january 2012. I went trought so many hospitals and departments as agency nurse. Now I am working as community nurse for few months in one health centre, but still as agency, because they keeping budget for agency nurse as they still need one all over year. Maybe I can get references from my agencies, but would be that enough ? I can provide time sheets from all year as proof of work. So I am really confuse now : How can I supply for ANMAC skills assessment references from UK, as I am self employed and didn't have any pernament work, except few month I worked in nursing home, when I came to UK. What ANZSCO code I should apply now,,, medical? or just registered nurse? Its going to be some expo in London in march about possibilities to work in Australia, did anyone attend that kind of action before, is it helpful ? I'll really appreciate any answer
ali
Although you are now registered in the UK - was your initial registration/training outside the UK? If so you need this section: http://www.anmac.org.au/nurse-initial-registration-elsewhere-world there are then boxes to click which will take you to the relevent pages. Provide the time sheets and a letter of reference from the agencies you have worked for, you will also need to supply your transcripts of training. Good luck

Good luck Thanks for your answer,, I was on that section, but I belong under European union, same section as UK. When I was registering in UK , I didn't have any problem as I come from European union and my education - MSN, was enough for NMC. Transcripts of training, good info , I need to call to my Universities to get them, but still what ANZSCO code I should use for application? As you're not working full time in a RN medical position then I would apply with the ANZSCO code of Registered Nurse I sent two references, one from my manager and one from a consultant I worked closely with, I also had a letter from the HR dept which stated my length of service and the roles I was employed in and for how long, in addition to the hours I worked. Don't forget you will also need to show your English Language competency. My tip is to read the application and before you start gather all your documentations and get those certified that need doing. http://www.anmac.org.au/sites/default/files/documents/On-Line%20Application%20Information.pdf Good luck
mehealth
I am aware I need to pass IELTS or OET, thats pain in a.. ,, but hopefully I will go for them on February as I need to get ready first. Maybe I can get from my agencies list of shifts I have done, and some reference from them, Sure I will get reference from my previous work as military nurse, and I am going to ask my manager in center, where I am currently working for 4 months and pray, that would be enough. I am not so happy to pay 500 GBP, and then get letter , I am not eligible for migration. But really thanks for your answer
mehealth
Ali I've just found, I have transcripts from Uni with me, they gave them to me with certificates of educations, both are in slovak language , but I can get them translate and certified by solicitor, but Question is ' can i send them to ANMAC, or they have to be sent by my Universities? ali
Perhaps rather than just a list of shifts they could write also a bit of a reference, the areas you've worked for them, any feedback, your reliability etc., Have a read of the application notes, because it gives you guidance on what the references should contain and who they should be from (manager/registered nurse) that they should cover your competency as a nurse and there are also notes on recency of practice - it's all there. If you provide what they need there shouldn't be any hiccups

Good luck with the application ... there will (i'm sure) be more nurses along who can add things with their most recent experience, but stumbling blocks have always been about insufficient or not the correct info ... so that's the thing to take some care over
