hari84
Dear All, I graduated in 2008 with an Honors Bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunications. But i made my career in Software Engineering and till today I have 4 years of Experiance as a Software Developer. I went through the ACS Skill assesment guidelines and am still confused as to how many years of experiance I'm supposed to show. I heard from people that it should be 4 years but the guidelines now mentions it being 6 years. Can anyone tell me if my degree can be taken as an ICT Degree. Any help in this regard is highly appreciated. Many thanks

voxtro
My Bachelors degree is same as yours and got my ACS cleared with AQF equivalent Degree with Major in computing. This happened because I had submitted my Syllabus from the university and had few subjects in computing, Microprocessor etc. You can do the same and leave ACS to decide. hari84
Dear Voxtro, Is it ok if I ask you how many years of experiance you showed, it is possible for me to submit my academic transript which shows the subject i took in the university. The assesment you got was it Group A or Group B. Also is it ok to know what Nominated occupation you applied for? I was going for Software Engineer. I guess i should go ahead an apply and see right? I guess i should go ahead an apply and see right? 8 years in which 2 yrs were knocked off stating its not relevant to my nominated occupation. Its important to show the hours spent on each subject which would usually be available in syllabus. I was assessed under Group A... Computer network and systems engineer. If you feel you have enough computing subjects with the number of hours matching ACS criteria, you could go ahead. If you are "Microsoft Certified Solution Developer" then that would be also be assessed as AQF diploma..
