Guest ABCDiamond
In QLD, you must pass a written test, which will cost you $A16.30 (Dec 2005). This test consists of 30 general questions for a motor vehicle licence. Part ONE is on the give way rules with 10 questions and you must get 9 right. Part TWO is 20 general questions and you must get 18 right http://www.transport.qld.gov.au/qt/LTASinfo.nsf/index/licensing_question1#licence Some useful Downloads at Your Keys to Driving in Queensland (worth checking on) Driving Licence Fees Jan 2006 QLD Licence fee - 1 year = $ 24.95 Licence fee - 5 year = $ 63.95 (2,3 & 4 year licences are available) The test is pretty easy. I almost passed before even reading the book. I think I got 3 wrong on part 2, but on my 2nd attempt I passed, after I read the book You can take the test again the next day. By law, you cannot drive on a UK licence, as a PR, after 3 months, but you can take the theory test anytime you like, even a year or more later, just don't drive after 3 months
