has anybody used "Relo UK" for shipping goods to Australia? They offered us very competitive prices but are just sending out feelers to others. Any info would be gratefully received

  I used Relo UK after seeing 3 other moving companies, Relo UK came in second on price but their reputation was outstanding compared to many other removal firms and a few friends of mine have used Relo UK in the past. The surveyor had so much information to provide me as I was struggling to understand the way the process worked and he seemed to care about my items and did not just want my business. My experience with Relo UK was outstanding and I wish them all the success in the future & I have no hesitation in recommending them to my family & friends. Great service and thanks a lot.   The surveyor who came to do the quote was friendly, which made me pick this company for our removals. The removal crew were so good and we could not have asked for a better service. We have a small baby and they were great around her, even trying to move quietly if she was asleep. I think the mans name was Dan and he came on both days of our removals. We could not have met a more friendly or polite person to do the work. They moved everything and put it in our new house with as little disruption to us as possible. I can not praise this company enough. The only fault i can find it that my PG tips took a hiding! lol Overall experience was 10 out of 10The surveyor who came to do the quote was friendly, which made me pick this company for our removals.   At first I was sceptical as I had not heard of Relo UK before but they provided a very competitive quotation for my move to Toronto, after researching the company I found positive reviews online regarding their service in general, I also found that they are a member of the IAM and CAM which made my decision slightly easier. Moving abroad can be a daunting experience but they made it a lot easier. I was fortunate to have found such a professional company given the horror stories that you read online these days. The crew who packed my possessions handled my items with care and consideration. Every time I called the office, the staff were polite, understanding and helped in every way they could. Hi there, I am using them, they are very competitive and the guy who came round was great, no crap jargon or sales pitch, just honest and friendly. I have had 4 people come round and the prices were just so different... I'd say Re-low deffo but they dont come here till 7/3/13 but at the moment i am very happy with them.

Hi Locky - hope I am not too late but I would strongly advise against using this company. I can't go into detail due to legal reasons but I used one of their branches and agree that the sales service was amazing, hence why I chose to use them over some of the bigger firms who were actually similar in price. Once they came and packed our belongings and we left the country they went silent on us - stopped returning phone calls and emails. They finally gave us a date for our goods to arrive so we rented an apartment based on that date. Then when I asked for proof of shipping they went quiet again. Turns out our goods were not on the way and they were lying to us. It has gotten worse since then but its a long story.

Please please please don't use them.

How quick did they come out? I was going to use PSS as initially seemed very customer focussed, helpful and friendly - even agreed to come and requote as I was not happy with the initial quote due to items being muddled up on the two quotes provided, plus I changed my mind on what i wanted to include, now that I am ready for a requote they have decided they will not come out and requote as my consignment is not large enough! I've now lost confidence in them due to being told one thing and then another

shocking level of service, poor packing leading to extensive damage, rude and obnoxious management from top down, excuses all the way, what else !!!! completely underselling certain aspects leading to not being able to rightfully claim for damage prompting me to investigate whether they are licensed to offer products they have no idea on.....in short leave this company alone and especially keep away from the MD who seems to have a very large chip on his shoulder as all he is concerned with is the reputation of his company with what seems like little thought for his clients.

I do NOT recommend using this company, we are in the middle of an appalling experience with them. I don't know if the ownership or management has changed since the earlier reviews, but we never had a surveyor come around so they depended on our estimate of the volume of our goods. I told them repeatedly that I thought my estimate was way off but they assured me that it "sounded fine" (we are a family of four, two small children shipping the contents of a four bedroom flat). Of course the estimate was way off so the removals team, which arrived nearly three hours late, was not prepared, their packing was atrocious and they left a significant portion of our stuff behind, which we had to arrange for them to collect after we had already left for Canada - luckily we still owned the flat and were able leave the stuff there until they could collect it. Management was completely dismissive of the stress and trouble it had caused us and said it was really our fault for underestimating the volume of our goods. We thought we at least would never have to deal with them again but today two of our framed pictures have turned up, delivered by DHL and not with the rest of our shipment: the glass in both pictures is smashed to smithereens due to incredibly poor packing so now we are going to have to contact them re. insurance claim. I have no confidence that it will be handled well. Once again, an emphatic DO NOT recommend.

Re Monahann insurance claim - The insurance you purchased should allow you to deal directly with the insurance company and not necessarily with their Agent /Intermediary (in this case the removal company) as the actual contract of insurance is between you and the Insurer and NOT between you and the Agent or Intermediary.

 

Your Policy shoud have the Insurers full contact details and claims procedure as stipulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

I totally agree. Relo lied to us about our shipment dates and has not replied to our emails or returned phonecalls. All the other companies arrived with an ipad of sorts to quote our move, I should have known someone that is still using paper isn't up to standard.

They have lied just to get you off the phone. A bunch of unprofessional people. I wouldn't use them again and i feel sorry for anyone using this terrible company. Their sales staff are quick with promises..shipping dates..this and that..but when it comes down to it..nothing happens until they can get the cheapest slot available.

 

Poor service, unprofessional staff, high prices and not worth using - sorry.

 

I am sure someone has had a good experience...sending one suitcase or 1 box...but i would be very weary of this relouk

Poor service, unprofessional staff, high prices and not worth using - sorry. They pick up your stuff and once is in their warehouse and ready to go ( well..thats another lie ) theygive you the price..so you can't quite back off... Very sly and greedy people. I made a very big mistake using them.

Yes, we used ReLoUK two years ago - 2014 moving from England to Melbourne. They are excellent! Most definintely provide a fantastic service, well, that is what we experienced. We had 3 guys come in and pack our gear which was done very professionally - then once our consignment left our apartment in Woking, we received regular updates via email as to the progress of the shipment. Our container arrived sooner than was originally scheduled which was a bonus. The team in Melbourne who delivered via ReLoUK's "sister" company - Conroy were also very professional and careful with the fragile boxes etc. We only had two breakages - one small statue and a glass framed picture which we figured having travelled approximately 12,000 miles, was pretty good. Highly recommend ReLoUK!

Pls dont use relo uk. Would not recommend. They are a non responsive company. Our shipments were to arrive in australia by june end and hasnt yet reached. Customer service is pathetic . Dont fall into their low price trap. Seek better deals other than relouk. Due to legal recourse cannot say much.

I would like to hear from other customers who have had their property stolen from this company, as I intend to pursue them via the police. I echo the previous review. Relocated from UK to Sydney in January 2019. Cargo arrived with over £5000 worth of property missing from different boxes. ReloUK flatly deny any responsibility with no investigation or apology- insulting email response blaming it on us. It defies logic that I would relocate across the world at great effort and expense, to work as a doctor, and then waste my time fabricating missing items. Management complicit. Boxes incorrectly labelled as 'china and glass' when electrics, tools, kitchenware, silverware, jewellery, watches are missing from within. Thieves.
