Clarius Skills Index September Quarter 2012

Australia faces a significant shortfall in a number of the nation’s crucial business professional sectors at the heart of driving big business over the next 12 months.

The Index reported that growth in labour demand in the Australian economy is primarily occurring in higher-skilled occupations and professionals representing a significant proportion of employment in growth industries.

Isn't it funny, just depends what you read, without the businesses according to one of our business leaders where will they work. All the editorials I read yesterday were talking about slump in this and slump in that and low demand and building industry going down the gurglar, of course I am exaggerating but got the general drift.

You are right Petals, its been a bit doom and gloom on the news, talk of recession.Even read a report the other day saying we had too many skilled migrants and not enough work !!!!!!!!!!!?.Mind you it is all doom and gloom up here in the Territory at the moment.New Goverment has announced there is no money in the pot so they have hiked the price of power and water by 40% !.Rates are going up,child care is going up and house prices are through the roof.More and more of our friends are being made redundant.

I no longer skinny dip,I now chunky dunk:laugh:
