twinsmom65 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Hello all, brand new to the site. Quick question. My husband is a licenced Sheet Metal Journeyman in Canada which is pretty equivalant to a 1st class Sheet Metal in Australia. Has anyone had any problems with the TRA with a licenced trade from another country. We are in the first steps of our journey to moving to Australia and any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Karen :spinny:
Guest Gollywobbler Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Hi Karen Welcome to Poms in Oz. Quite a lot of Canadians and Americans have migrated to Oz, and I don't see why they should have any more problems getting overseas qualifications recognised than anyone else faces. You might wantto try joining and posting your query on British Expats as well, since it has been going for a lot longer than Poms in Oz, is much bigger and Ive seen several Canadians posting on there. www/britishexpats.com Poms inOz is much friendlier, though....!!!! Cheers Gill
