Flying to WA

Hi,

 

Just been granted my WHV and plan to fly out in January 2013.

 

I am thinking of staying a few days to stop off before I get to Perth. Any advice would be great.

I am thinking of stopping in either Thailand, malaysia, singapore or hong kong.

I am quite flexible about it all and have looked into flights, accommodation etc.

I'd get your accommodation booked in Perth before you do anything else - Jan is a time when everywhere is full.

I'd say HK or Singapore personally. Probably Hong Kong edges it for me.

Why not stop over in Thailand? That way you can leave yourself time to cover the surrounding countries as well. Laos is a personal favourite of mine ..but Cambodia is good and you could include Vietnam...as well as Malaysia.

It's a well worn route these days. Very easy and many thousands of Brits doing the same..and Irish,Swiss,Germans, French.........give yourself several weeks. Forget HongKong...expensive and ok for a couple of days if you just want a bit of shopping.....
