Guest gibbon83
Hi, Just been granted my WHV and plan to fly out in January 2013. I am thinking of staying a few days to stop off before I get to Perth. Any advice would be great. I am thinking of stopping in either Thailand, malaysia, singapore or hong kong. I am quite flexible about it all and have looked into flights, accommodation etc. cheers, Ian.
Bob1
I'd get your accommodation booked in Perth before you do anything else - Jan is a time when everywhere is full.

That way you can leave yourself time to cover the surrounding countries as well. Laos is a personal favourite of mine ..but Cambodia is good and you could include Vietnam...as well as Malaysia. It's a well worn route these days. Very easy and many thousands of Brits doing the same..and Irish,Swiss,Germans, French.........give yourself several weeks. Forget HongKong...expensive and ok for a couple of days if you just want a bit of shopping.....
