Visa Subclass 476 Confusion :(

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Basically I wish to apply for Recognised Graduate (Temporary) Visa (Subclass 476), I am able to satisfy all the given criteria except for one, that is "Eligible Qualification" part.

Can someone please explain or clarify following section which is taken from http://www.immi.gov.au website (especially the part highlighted in red).

----------------------------------------------

Your degree qualification must contain a major sequence of study or specialisation in an Engineering discipline.

Engineering specialisations include but are not limited to:

•Civil Engineering

•Structural Engineering

•Chemical Engineering

•Environmental Engineering

•Electrical and Electronics Engineering

•Mechanical, Production and Plant Engineering

•Mining and Material Engineering.

----------------------------------------------

Does this mean that above given list is by no way the only required/accepted list of engineering specialization and are just example of some of the discipline in Engineering Specialization for fellas who wish to apply for this visa subclass 476.

In other words, as long as you have Engineering Specialization in any field such as Computer, Network, Robotics, software etc ... you are eligible as you fulfil the criteria of study or specialisation in an Engineering discipline.

Thanks.

Btw if any individual have success/rejection story about their 476 visa application ... please share and help us mortals to resolve this confusion.

Well I did try to contact couple of migration agents, so far no luck as none of them have any info about this perticular visa. So I would literally appreciate any info or help in this regards.

Thanks.

Hi Man,

Did you get any information about the question you posted. I have a masters degree in Mechatronics Eng, which is not in the list. Do I qualify ?

Hi

This is a special visa designed to address a shortage of graduates in Australia so those qualifications at specified Universities are the only eligible qualifications.

If your qualification is not in the field specified, you are not eligible for the 476.

Kind regards
