Mullso
Hi all Well day 4 in Melbourne and so far loving it! Started work today with a great bunch of lads so think things could work out ok! In rented apartment but looking at houses as with three kids we don't want to be in the city too long. Question - has any one rented furniture ? As if we get a house our container still won't arrive for at least 8 weeks so it's not gonna be much fun having a house with no beds no sofa etc etc Has anyone used short term furniture rental companies ? If so any recommendations Thanks
Guest Trueblue22
Just bumping your post as I would be interested in any advice you get too, but in QLD
Happyviolet
We used Living Edge. Was pretty impressed - quality better than I expected. I felt it was more than good enough to fill the time til our stuff arrived.
DBC
We used PABS - very good to deal with and hanging onto the stuff for an extra couple of weeks wasn't a problem at all. We only got a bed, (our baby had her travel cot), fridge and washing machine as we were lent a couple of chairs and a TV. It surprised us how little we could actually live with! Guest The Pom Queen
I do have a spreadsheet that works out how much it will cost to rent furniture in Melbourne, it's not cheap. I would look at getting a few second hand things. You could get an outdoor dining set and use it indoors, inflatable mattresses that you could use for camping after. Etc
