StevieF8
Yes, will work fine The inbuilt Freeview might not work (try tuning it when you get there), but you will get the free-to-air & Foxtel on it no problems

barbaitch
Hi,we are moving back to Perth in Nov & this time around we want to take our telly back with us..hubbies pride & joy:yes:..will it work ok in Aus? Hi PPP2: I'm sure someone on PIO will be along to answer your Plasma tv question very soon, and only wish I could be the one to help, but unfortunately I don't know the answer. However, what I definitely doknow is that I owe you a Great Big THANK YOU, because if it wasn't for you, PPP2, my husband and I wouldn't now have new Resident Return Visas in our passports, and I can't thank you enough for being there at the right time when I first came across PIO last April 2011, and saw your thread about being granted a Former Resident Visa after a long absence from Oz! Having given up all hope of being able to return as Permanent Residents, because of our long absence from Oz, your encouraging reply got me fired up to at least make enquiries, which resulted in us taking the first steps towards achieving that goal. Eight months later, with the help of a good MARA migration agent in Adelaide, we achieved it!! I did post on PIO and PIA about our progress during the application process -- as well as the wonderful end result! -- a few times (because quite a lot of lovely people on both sites had taken an interest and wanted to know), and I mentioned that if it wasn't for you we wouldn't be going down this exciting (sometimes uncertain) road in the first place, and how grateful we were to you for encouraging us in the first place - hoping you'd pick up on it and at least know how it all ended. Well, our story had a happy ending, PPP2, thanks to you, and we're returning to Adelaide next January. I'm so glad I was able to let you know myself, finally. I wish you all the very best for your future in Oz. In my opinion, you deserve the very, very best, actually. Thank you so much. x x
