tommythechippy
Just wondering has anone ever done this or is in the process of doing so. I have flights and accomadation booked for the 23rd of august. Three out of four have our medicals finalised for the 176 visa and the 4th child has been referred on the 9th of july. We are starting to panic now a bit as things arent moving as fast as we would like. If the visa isnt granted before hand we intend to go anyway on a 3 three month holiday visa, i know we will have to fly out for a couple of days and return again to access the visa. Do we let the case officer know about this? and also is this legal to do so. All comments appreciated.
Rupert
Can you change the flights? Wait until the visa is granted, is there a particular reason for the rush...
tommythechippy
it was the only accomadation we could get this side of christmas, so we took a gamble. We have nearly three weeks so what do you think our chances are rupert?
Rupert
There is no point me guessing whether it will all be done and dusted in next three weeks, just don't know. I have heard there is a backlog on medicals being procesed, but then you have been waiting a while so maybe you ar enext in the queue who knows. No accommodation in Australia this side of Christmas ... are you sure? Have you given up work already? If you do plan to go ahead without the 176 visa, then yes you definitely need to let your CO know.

lebourvellec
You must let your CO know - so your visa is not granted while you are in Australia. What will you do if your visa is refused and you have moved over already??

What will you do if your visa is refused and you have moved over already?? we have been informed that the case officer isnt looking for any further information and our medical doctor said we were all A rated so just waiting on the referred medical. Look if its not meant to be well have to deal with it, hope that dont happen.
