rahrah
Hey Guys - Advise needed! We are going to visit UK for Christmas and not only do we need to get my daughters Christmas gifts, but also celebrating her Birthday whilst there so know that Excess baggage will be an issue! Definately not wanting to pay Airline excess charges, so investigating Shipping companies. Has anyone got any recommendations of Shipping companies, that you may have used to ship single cartons ?? I have done a Search of past posts and cannot find anything....! Cheers!
calNgary
Would it not be easier and cheaper (especially with the exchange rate) to buy in the UK once there ? If you land in time of course,, lol, id personally be using it as an excuse for a shopping spree on landing,lol.. Hubby sends and recieves parcels by using the DHL type of companys and this has always worked well with the minimum of hassle. You can track the parcels too which helps with peace of mind. Have a fab trip back Cal x

Guest
WHat airline are you flying with? Both BA and Qantas now have a set charge for a 23kg bag in excess. Its not expensive, $93 or something. Read their baggage info to be sure but I know a number of people are mentioning it these days.

Its pretty reasonable, cheaper than excess with an airline. Should be there within a week or so also. Not waiting for 3 months on a ship.
