Guest claireanddom
Hi all, we move out to oz in 3 weeks. We are looking at properties in Lowood however have been told by family it is a rough area, we can't take kids to park because there is needles lying around and in general is pretty dire. Not sure if this is biased though as it is reasonably far away from them and they want us close by. However the prices and houses seem gorgeous there?? really need an honest opinion!!?? Thanks in adavnce!!
calNgary
I dont live in Lowood but go up there quite a lot and cant say ive ever seen anything that would put me off the area. There isnt 'loads' there ,its more of an old fashioned little village feel but not too far to Ipswich city for the big shopping plazas etc and the poeple i know or have met up there are lovely. There are quite alot of new land estates being built up that way and the newer style of house with an 'estate' type feel may appeal to your more so id definately take a look at them. Guest EukiBear
The question is what sort of lifestyle are you after? I also go to Lowood quite a bit and also have not seen anything that would put me off. Euki
Guest claireanddom
Thanks for your replies. We do just want a quiet lifestyle as we have a bbaby less than a year.local amentities are all we need I.e a local shop incase emergency bread is needed as we will have car to travel. Ye we have been looking at the new builds and they're deal for us and great value so don't see the point in paying an extra 100 dolars just to please others. Just making sure I wasn't bringon my son uop somewhere rough.
calNgary
Just check the flood risk but other than that there isnt really anything im aware of to avoid. Heywood Monkey ,one of our members lives out that way (Lockyer Valley), he doesnt come on every day but keep an eye for his name as im sure he would help with advice too.
