Guest Stereotongue Posted August 4, 2012 Share Posted August 4, 2012 Hi, my wife and I are moving back to the UK from Sydney mid Sept. Anyone know what shipping companies would be best to contact ? When we came here we used Pickfords/Allied Pickfords - they were great - no problems and on time. However we did get several quotes from companies in the UK before we selected them . I will contact Allied Pickfords again here for a quote but would like to also get a few other quotes to compare, just don't know of any other reputable companies out here. alandeej Posted August 4, 2012 Share Posted August 4, 2012 We used Pickfords for shipping UK to Australia, but we couldn't afford to ship our stuff so it went into storage, glad we didn't ship our stuff as we are now back in the UK but Pickfords even managed to loose some of our items, Pickfords also lost and damaged other families goods that we went to Australia with so I will never use Pickfords again. We had a part container for Australia to UK and used Ridgeways a lot cheaper than Allied Pickfords and better service so I would recommend them 100% Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hi Stacey, we only moved here at the end of January this year. We are moving back due to a recent tragedy that has unfortunatey made the prospect of living here too painful. We didn't ship much here anyway - only around 3 cubic metres - that cost £950 to get here with Pickfords.
