I believe that your passport gets sent to London but what do they send you before this. What are the timescales from meds being requested to visa being given. I'm now starting to get very excited!! Send them recorded delivery and enclose a recorded delivery envelope to have them returned to you and it only takes a couple of days to get them back from London.
