mjsorena
Hi fellas I have a question to ask.Assume that an Engineer is not recognized as a "professional" by the assessment authorities. Is he able to apply for jobs related to engineering in SOL list? For example is he allowed to choose Electronics Engineer still? Thank you all
PityTheFool
In a word....YES! I am an electrical engineer without a degree and have a 176 in the old back pocket!!! I had to do a CDR with EA and got a positive assessment as an Electrical Engineering Draftsperson. You need to read the descriptions / criteria of the relevant occupations on the SOL and pray that you can prove you have the skills to meet one of them. phillllip
I'm not familiar with the problem, but I don't think assessment has anything to do with working.. If you need a job for a visa - I have no idea, but the employers usually hire migration agents. I'm also an electrical engineer and didn;t get proffesional engineer, I got engineering technologist /wtf that means?/ - and I'm not happy at all with it, but works for my 175 for now. Good luck. Hi, I'm also preparing to do my skills assessment as an Electrical Engineering Draftsperson. Would it be possible for you to give me some inputs for my CDR? I'm having 10 + yrs of experience and is 3 career episodes are good enough or do I need to submit more than that? Thanks in advance.
