How money to take?!!

Hi, Can anyone tell me how much approx Is need to settle in australia?

 

 

The cash we thought we would be able to take Is shrinking every month!! Mostly due to bills and my house not selling and having to reducing the price. We are a family of 5 In the early stages of trying to emigrate and would like a rough idea of what other people took.

It all depends on what you are planning to do?

 

You will need to give more details on where you want to live, have you got a job immediately etc.

as much as you can really.. what is enough for one may not be for another. We sat down and worked out how much it would cost to get ourselves there i.e. container, flights etc and then the cost of living for a few weeks (and a bit more) while looking for work. Rental is one month up front for bond and then one month in advance.. accommodation while your looking for a rental i.e. holiday let etc.. School admission fees (if there are any) uniforms for the kids. Are you buying a car once your out there, taking one or hiring.. Best to write it all down and go from there. It soon adds..Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, My partner Is a plasterer and I would be working part-time. Looking at the perth area. Approx after paying off debts etc we will have 20,000-25,000 after flight costs. With agent and are getting together our TRA (in the meantime paying £125.00 to get an 8 in the IELTS and keep on getting a 7.5 !!!. Just wanted a rough idea of what other families took with them.
