Carpenter/Joiner/ielts test

Can any one give us some advice on there experience.

My husband did his Ielts test on 21.07.12 and we are waiting for the results. As yet we haven't instructed our agent to go a head because we were waiting for him to pass the Ielts test. We are also a bit concered as my husband has is own window fitting business and the Carpenrty/Joiner is the nearest thing to this,however my husband does most of what is required on the Carpenrty/Joiner vetasses test weekly, sao we are pretty confident.

 

Should we instruct the agent as he can do the Ielts tests again if he fails, as I am not sure how long the carpentry/joiner Vetasses test will be and also how long we have to wait for the Visa.. Are we wasting time and should we just get on with it!!!!

I would start the process now we held off waiting for our IELTS and it held us up, we had to get 8's in IELTS due to our age it took 3 sitting of that horrid test, if we had started the process at the beginning we would have been a few weeks a head of the game not that it mattered in the end as we received our visa last week x
