calNgary
Hi and welcome to PIO. We have quite a few members in Melbourne so hopefully some of them will be along soon . Have you looked at the job sites to see what sort of vacancies in what areas are avaible? Seek, Careerone and Alljobs seem to be 3 popular ones. Sorry i cant be of more help and i hope you find something for when you get here,or at least line some interviews, it would sure take some pressure off. Cal x Thanks for those sites Cal, at least there seems to be plenty of work in Melbourne from looking at those sites. Does anyone know about the red/white cards - which one I'll need to work on site, how to get one etc. Also, can anyone give some advice on how to get an Australian bank account? Do I have to be in the country? Thanks again, Chris.
calNgary
The white card is the one you will need, this is recognised in every state so if interstate work comes up its always there. Bluedog training on line is one of the more popular sites. Once you have arrived you do the on line multiple choice test ,and they will post you the card. Their website tells you all about in more detail. Hope this helps Cal x
