Update of Points-Automatically??

Will points update automatically themselves? I currently have 70 points but come the 16th of this month I will have been in my employment for 8 years. Will my points automatically update to 75? Anyone know or got any experience?

I'm interested in the answer to this actually.

I am sure I have read somewhere (I think it was on one of imigrate's webinars on you tube) that points update automatically, for example if you reach a birthday that impacts your points.

I am in the same situation. As at 1 Sept I reach 3 years of relevant work experience and my points go up to 70. The only problem is I had my skills assessed but not my work experience. I'm not sure whether to deselect my current job in skill select as 'relevant'.

I'm not certain but I think the points are fixed when you apply. At least they used to be so you did not lose points if you got older whilst processing but didn't gain them either for experience as they calculated from the info provided on application. Now with the EOI not sure if it is when you lodge that, then looked at again when you apply or what.

Maybe a good read of the info would help but I can't be bothered as I am not applying myself.

I got an email today to say that my points had been updated. So I now have 75 points, fingers crossed I get invited on the next round of invitations.

That's good! Can I ask what changed to give you 75 points? Was it age or employment history?

It was my employment history that changed my points. As of this week I will have been employed for 8 years in my profession, so ups my points from 10 to 15 for employment.
