Jit7
Just sharing some news........ Last night we booked our 'ONE WAY' flights from London to Brisbane for 17th October. It was so scary pressing the continue button but it's done now. OMG - it makes it so real. Husband and I are staying in Singapore for a few days then flying on to Brisbane. Now we've seriously got to pull our fingers out and get everything sorted. I need to find a holiday rental for a first few weeks near Brisbane CBD. Then get appointments at agencies lined up for the week that we arrive. Arghhh - panic .....but excited!

Missus B
Best of luck! land in Brisbane on the 16th. Wish I'd taken a few days in Singapore. I get a 6 hour stopover there so I plan on getting the tourist bus around the city before my flight to Brisbane. Have a fab time!:jiggy:

Missus B
Thanks all. Missus B - where are you staying in Brisbane? I've been searching for holiday rentals near thd cbd but all quite pricey I couldn't afford a holiday rental on my own so I had a look on http://www.airbnb.com and found a gorgeous room in a luxury apartment in Hamilton with a lovely gay couple. It was half the price of a holiday rental with food included and they had brilliant reviews. Check them out! https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/424674

Singapore is so clean and a lovely place to visit for a few days. Chilli Crab on a balmy evening at Clarke Quay and and a Singapore Sling at Raffles Hotel - not a bad way to start your new life Hon. I don't think you are as daft as me, but if you do get time I would defo recommend Afternoon Tea at the zoo with the Orangutans. Looking forward to seeing your updates xxxx
Jit7
MissusB - apartment looks great. I have also found some lovely places on that website. I'm just waiting back on the enquiries that I made. Good luck with your move over. Feel free to message me once you are there as we're only a week apart. Candygirl - thanks for the little tips - afternoon tea with the Orangutans sounds fab!!
