Val Tibenham
Hoping that someone on here can enlighten me please. I was going to apply for a nursing post advertised on the NSW Health website and one of the selection criteria listed is "Registered to practice List A in NSW" . Does this just mean that you are a registered nurse as opposed to an enrolled nurse? I did a quick internet search and came up with lots of references to Lists 1 & 2, that do refer to registered and enrolled nurses but nothing about List A. Or is List A some sort of specialist list like our Public Health Specialist Nurse listing on NMC? Thanks for any help you can provide
GilraenH
There are only enrolled nurses and registered nurses or registered midwives in Oz, no specialist nursing registrations like the UK. I asked this of a recruiter and they said it's an old term from when NSW registered under their own nursing board just meaning RN.
