Guest gdcbutterfly
Hi, Wonder if anyone can tell me how long it took for them to get their prospective marriage visa granted. I know the standard time for UK is 5-6 months, i just wondered if other people got their visa approved any quicker Thanks

Guest GeorgeD
Hi, Wonder if anyone can tell me how long it took for them to get their prospective marriage visa granted. I know the standard time for UK is 5-6 months, i just wondered if other people got their visa approved any quicker Thanks The processing times advised by Australia House tend to be quite accurate. Every now and again you will find someone who has a PMV or Spouse visa processed in a couple of weeks. There is no reason for this, other than random chance, it's not anything that person did differently. 99% of the time your visa will be processed in the time range they give you. On the plus side, your application does take the time they tell you, so if next month the lead time goes to 8-9 months, you are still likely to be processed in the 5-6 months you were told. Bangkok's may be different from London's time. They may be similar, but that is just a coincidence...each office has a difffrent workload and may take more or less time than others. Please look for more recent threads...this one is over a year old, the info on it may not be accurate for the current processing times.
sjn87
hmmm i will have to investigate into the Bangkok office time frame, thank you and Yeh i did notice it was a bit old, infact i also noticed that the 300 visa dont seem all that popular, everyone seems to be getting the 309/100 visa.
