happycat
Hi Mrs I and Kjjwacko Thanks for your posts. We arrive in Perth on 10th January so not long now. We are initially moving to Burswood with family and then we'll look for somewhere else to stay. To be honest, I haven't looked into this in too much detail yet, it's a job for Oct/Nov time. We went on our validation trip in Feb this year and plenty of places took our fancy but we'll probably wait for my partner's uncle to recommend somewhere and it all depends on jobs. Do you have any recomendations? We visited some new builds in Rockingham in Feb to get an idea of what we could get for our money although we don't plan on buying for a number of years. Thanks for the offer of advice, I will probably take you up on that. Although I'm very excited, every now and again I get a butterfly feeling and I think why on earth do we want to leave everything we know, good jobs and lovely friends to move somewhere where we no nothing. AAh. How did you deal with the mixture of emotions when you came to move and are you glad you made the move? Cathryn
Guest mrs i
Hi cathryn, yes its an exciting but also worrying time when you make the move,we are what they call ping pong poms!we went to the gold coast when we had our pr visa in 2006,got homesick and went back to wales then came to perth just over three years ago and have settled in well! Im not going to say everything was easy and there has been times when i think why did we do this but then i look at my kids and see how good they have got it here compared to back home and im happy with our choice. I could tell you good and not so good areas around rockingham and ive got a few friends and family north of the river too.were do you come from in north wales?
