Please dont take me wrong I value the importance of multi-culture yet owing to new (planning to move to Aussi Sydney area) believe its better to settle, initially, close to your community as it helps in settling down schooling etc.

So please advise which area of Sydney has good population of Pakistani and Indian community.

Thanks in advance

Welcome not sure as I am not in Sydney but hope someone will pop along who does have the information you are looking for.

As Sydney is such a large city I guess it will depend on how long you want to spend commuting to work where you are to live.

I will be working in CBD as consultant. Currently, coming from Saudi Arabia. Looking for a moderate area. Heard and read that Lakemba has law n order issues, not sure if it is true. Wanna avoid such things. We are family with 3 kids . Will be getting salary around 130K. So please advise

I would avoid Lakemba. I had to go out that way a couple of months ago and the taxi driver took the long way around so he didn't have to go through Lakemba.

I have lived in Lakemba since January and personally have had no problems. You switch the news on and there isnt a suburb of sydney that doesnt have problems.

What I will say about Lakemba is that it is very overcrowded and mainly apartments, depending on what you want to spend on accomodation and how far you are willing to travel to work (either by car or train) will determine your location.

I know Rooty Hill has a pakistani community but then so do Lakemba/Bankstown/Yagoona/Auburn look at properties in the areas, you also try Paramatta which has a very large indian community. I cannot help with school etc as my son is a toddler.
