Issues regarding Engineers & Skilled independent migration

Hi there, i`m happy that i found a place discussing migration issues ,though i`m Egyptian but there is no where else online that discusses australian migration.

I`m a 29 yrs old Production Engineer 4 yrs experience i have been planning to migrate since i visited fremantle/Perth and been reading through all migration long procedures.

I have many questions and confusions although i already started preparation for IELTS so i`ll briefly state my questions:

1- If i finished both IELTS/ Engineers Australia assessment and applied at the brand new Skill Select they will invite me to only Independent skilled? or in other words how i can tell them that i have no problem with state nomination IF my score didn`t cath??? how this works?

2- 2nd question and thats my biggest problem... the longest part of migration is Assesment "its all the same i guess with different qualifications and different assessing authorities in charge" so after i finish all the papers "there is a truck load of it!! " I`m applying for Professional Engineer but my university sorrowfully though reputable in my country "Alexandria university" but it isn`t recognized in aussie so what exactly the outcomes i might get after assement??? Get recognized as a professional Engineer ? or get Lower grade as Associate Engineer (-1 year) until i get some kind of education equivalent to Prof Engineer. Or i get recognized as professional Engineer with the condition of finishsing some chosen courses for a complete recogntion.

In other words whats the possible results after processing my papers after i apply for assement as Prof Engineer?

Thanks in advance for any help

I can't answer the first one, I don't tink anybody can. The new system is still an abyss and nobody knows what's going on. About the second one - you should be careful what you claim, because if you don't meet the education requirement they might just refuse your assessment. I'm an electrical engineer and have master degree from a non-accredited university. Engineers Australia recognized my diploma to a 4-year bachelor but they didn;t like my CDR essays and I got Engineering Technologist, which is one level below Electrical Engineer /I don't even know what engineering technologist means/. I'm still not happy with that, but there is little I can do - and the outcome I got, is working for my 175 application for now.

thanks alot for your answer philip.

This is abit disappointing, so you are telling me they ignored your masters/Diploma/Bachelor Degree and recognized 3 yrs only of your Education?

and

i have Bsc. only so in my case i might be recognized as a "high school graduate"!!:twitcy:

but two questions here, supposing u DID well in the CDR is it all dependant on that???? just like 30 papers u fill them with paragraphs??? or there is any other factors in ur other papers like list of subjects studied, graduation grade etc..

i mean when he decides that a person is a worthy professional engineer or give him just technologist degree.

regards

They told me that my education is suitable for proffesiinal electrical engineer outcome, but my CDR is suitable only for engineering technologist and my outcome is the last. So i have a possitive assessment and I applied with it and I think I'm fine. I got CO on 11th this month and they asked only for medicals and PCCs which should mean everything else is fine. Engineers Australia didn't recognized my master degree as comparable to theirs. So I guess the CDR screwed me up a little bit, but I didn't exaggarate or lie about my job. I work at a small family firm and I do a lot of different staff, but still a small firm. So if you have a 4-year bachelor degree you should be fine. I also got a 5year work experience from Engineers Australia, which is 10 points for my total of 65. Good luck.
