Sillly question time, do our radios work on the same frequency. DAB and Normal radios. Thanks Jim.

Actually, I don't think that DAB will work in Australia. Oz uses DAB+ standards (which are more recent), and unless your radio can receive both (or can be retrofitted/upgraded to do so), then DAB won't work.

At least, that's what I understand. Would be happy to be told otherwise...

Yup. AM and FM are exactly the same--no problem.

However, as has been said, the UK uses DAB while Australia has DAB+. Some newer UK radios may work on both standards (because there are frequent rumours the UK may adopt DAB+ in the future) but that's luck of the draw--the manual that came with your radio may give details.

The other thing to note is that DAB+ coverage is pretty much restricted to the major cities--there's little or no digital radio out in the regions.

Yup, DAB didn't work. Pure Chronos iDock thingy. It's about 3 years old from the Uk and doesn't work with DAB. FM is fine though.
