beers in Perth?

Right,

Anyone up for a few beers in Perth with some general banter/chat. I have been here for 3 months now and I'm sick of being 'Billy No Mates'

I'm just a typical guy who like typical guy stuff... Footy, a few games of pool, a couple of pints, a night out etc!

Anyone intersted? :err:

Thanks. I don't think I realised how difficult it would be until I got here.

We were the same, I thought it would have been easier. We are not far out of town, but even town is empty this time of year. Roll on summer, when hopefully people will come out of the woodwork.

Does it get dark really early where you are, it goes dark here at 5 30 every day, I love light nights, especially the balmy ones, you can do so much, it is something I really miss about not being in Europe.

It gets dark so early and the pubs are empty...found most people were in bed by about 9pm as they all have to get up so early in the mornings for work.

So true .... 9 30 is the normal, and up at around 6 ........ even on a Friday it is quiet, one girl my OH works with said she is in bed every night at 9 PM I was in bed one night last week at 8 30 it reminds me of when I was at school

I could not believe it when I was there, I asked a girl once if she wanted to go to a night club she replied " thanks but I am normally in bed by 9" thought my luck was in for a second but sadly she meant to sleep.

It´s quite sad, even the young are in bed early. Our next door neighbours lights are out now.

I am really struggling with it, because I am a social animal, but just feel as if I am getting old before my time, I just want to be let out of my box and have a really good night out .......

I know what you mean...ask an aussie bloke if they fancy a drink in the local in the week and he thinks you are gay, then agian it would be closed anyway.

Not in the immediate future Dave but I've got a flight booked for the 20th February. I'll be out seeing the City that weekend so if you are about and up for a few pints you can pencil it into your diary.

Also, I have mates coming over to visit and go to the final British Lions test on 6th July in Sydney. You are more than welcome to come along to that - let me know if you are interested.

Doesn't sort out your immediate dilemma but at least it might be something to look forward to!!

Jonny

PS. I'm 30 and moving over there with my fiancée...

I will go for a few pints when i get there. Nothing worse then boring people in bed at 9. Wats all that about. Sounds like living in a nursing home.

Cant see the point in moving so far away to spend it in bed. Party on i say.

it's so you can get up at 5am to go swimming with the sharks/jogging on the beach/ etc....:laugh:
