Applying for Citizenship Online - Certified Copies

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

I'm just about to apply online for my citizenship. I am a bit clueless as to whether I need to get my documents certified before I scan them and attach them to my application.

The Citizenship website states that, when applying by post, the documents have to be certified but it doesn't state whether or not they have to be certified if applying online.

Am I missing something......? I would appreciate it if anyone else could let me know what they did.

Many thanks again to all the fantastic Poms-In-Oz folk!

If an online application is available, you must bring your original documents to your citizenship appointment. You can attach scanned documents to your online citizenship application.

For Visa applications as long as you colour scan the documents they do not need to be certified - I would imagin the same rule would apply
