Guest HelenF Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I cannot believe it! We are finally going to OZ in January after months of stress (haven't sold our house and accomodation fell through in Oz) and now BAA are threatening a strike on the day we go - 14th January! Can it get any worse and is it worth it? Does anyone know anything about the strikes and how badly does it affect flights? Will we be able to fly at all? Any info appreciated. Helen F.:arghh:

Helen F.:arghh: Just seen on the news that Qantus (maintanance) are looking as tho they are going on strike from 12th January in Oz. They have said that this will not only effect Domestic flights but International also. They mentioned that this would not only ground flights in Oz but also those around the world and said that Heathrow, Gatwick and all other airports in the UK that fly to Oz would be affected. Sorry to be bearer of bad news. Deb xx
Guest HelenF Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 We are flying Singapore Airlines will the strike affect all flights or just Quantas. Not arriving in Oz until 18th January so may be OK depending on how long they're on strike. Helen
