Guest kevin/jayne Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Hi everyone, we have just booked our meds and need to have the police checks done but don't know where to go for them. We have asked our agent but they haven't got back to us yet. Thanks.
Guest Gollywobbler Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Hi K/J Police Cheks: Look at the website for the local constrabulary inyour area. Follow linke in this order: 1. Freedom of Information 2, Data Protection 3. Subject Access You may be able to download the relevant form and instructions. If not, you could ring your local force on its general number and ask for the Data Protection Unit. They will usually e-mail for the form and instructions pretty promptly on request. Alternatively (if you can find a cop shop that is actually open) you can walk in and ask for the forms. You need one each plus kids of 16 or over need them as well. They cost £10 each. Medicals: Please this link: http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/health-requirements/index.htm It is worth ringing round all the Panel Doctors and x-ray clinics within a reasonable radius of home because they vary in price and also in how long to takes to get an appointment. Best wishes Gill
Guest Mrs C Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Hi We just phoned the local police station and they gave us the number to contact! good luck April x
Guest chrissy63 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 we contatced our local police station and told us to collect a form from them. We completed it and sent it off takes about 30 days to come back and cost us £10 each.
ali Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 In Lancashire you phone the HQ at hutton and they send you the forms, you return them with £10 each and then wait for 40 very long days (or there abouts) Ali
Guest fairbloodydinkum Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 police checks huh?......how much are they for?....there's an irish pub here that will cash them for you...:biglaugh: joking...:v_SPIN:
Life on easy street Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 I went to my local police station they gave me a contact phone number and address to get the relevant form. Just phoned them and got the form in a few days later.
alcocainmel Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Sounds like this may vary. We just went to our local police station who gave us the forms. We took them away, filled them in and took them back. This cost 10 pounds each. We got them back in just under 40 days from what I can remember. Deb xx
Guest Rachel&Stu Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Here in Lincolnshire, I downloaded the forms from the Lincolnshire Police website, filled them in, and sent off the forms with the identification they requested. Sent it recorded, ID came back 2 days later, also recorded delivery. Letter with the ID said they would take up to 40 days, but they're experiencing high demand(!) and would probably take the full 40 days. Cost £10 per person. Rache:wubclub:
Guest Trakki Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 We also had our done in lincolnshire. we just picked them up from our local police station, posted them off with £10 for each one. got the documents back 2 days later and then received a letter of receipt stating that it could be up to 40 days from the date of the receipt letter. We received them back 37 days after. HTH
