Hi to You, Happy Christmas by the way. 56.gif

All I can say from our experience is we found that blank E-mail lark a real waste of time and very misleading. In the end I was sending it say every couple of weeks just for a laugh, it was way out. The best guide I found was to follow and try and compare with applications sent by BRITS listed on Austimeline. That was for us far more accurate. I know a few of others may disagree but all I can do is state the facts as it happened with us.

Look at applications sent around the same time as yours by BRITS, (Nationality does play a difference even if it shouldn't - sorry if that upsets others again or is not PC,)

The blank E-mail was telling us applications were now being dealt with sent about 8 months before ours. The timeline showed things different. Our application was dealt with and granted in August 5 months and 4 days from sending. According to the blank E-mail thing we were going to be waiting for months, not even acknowledged when infact we were granted. It's very misleading.

I estimated each stage, receipt, and decision and was about 2 weeks late on the receipt, and just about right on the final decision, just judging things on the website www.austimeline.com

I know you'll get people on here who will disagree, that's part of the fun of the site, but I do not lie, that is what happened for us.

So I would go with your agent's advice and try using the website as I did for a guide. Allow for the holiday period now, probably until early January. But don't worry, things will all fall into place nicely, just wait patiently, and enjoy Christmas and the new Year.

Hope this offers you some comfort.

Good luck, wosgeschenk9.gif

I agree a bit with Emmy. I've heard of several people who haven't been receipted yet including my brother and sister in law who must have lodged at the absolute last minute as well. Our arrived on the 21st of August. Our money was taken on the 21st of November and then again accidentally on the 28th of November and we didn't get a receipt for either until my agent pushed for it in the first week of December. When we were dealing with the refund we got a personalised letter stating all August applications were expected to be receipted by 31st December and acknowledged by 15th Feb. I think that might be more realistic but waiting over Christmas is a real drag!
