Guest chrissy63 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 thanks guys thats reassuring, you know how it is you just worry about every step chris
Guest Gollywobbler Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Hi Chrissy Don't worry. All that it means is as follows: The Panel Doctor has no discretion at all with the Meds. Obviously he was able to tick Box A on From 26 for Hubby & Sam, but he has ticked Box B on the forms for you & Josh because of the meds histories that you have described. Where Box A has been ticked, the file does ot need to go beyond the LCU. They can simply markk the bdatabase that the meds have been finalised. Where the PD has ticked Box B, the meds have to be sent to the Medical Officer of the Commonwealth for an opinion about whther the meds criteria for migration are met. The MOC service is supplied to DIAC by a group of Government doctors called the Health Assessment Service. Files referred to HAS take about 10 days to surface at HAS (though that is paper files - it could well be vastly quicker with on-line meds) but there are no delays at HAS. They get a doctor to look at the file and get the info back to DIAC very promptly. Obviously the MOC is going to say that you & Josh meet the meds criteria for migration. So don't worry about it. It might take aother 3 weeks or so before the confirmation appears on your screen because of the long break coming up, but that is all. Cheers Gill
