Can someone tell me why my son who is not coming to oz with us still has to have a medical . thanks .. karen

It is a pre-emptive strike against the possibility that a child can be omitted from today's PR application if the child is, say, disabled. Later on, an application for a Child visa could be made. The medical criteria can be waived with a Child visa.
