sadsmile23 Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Hi, wonder if any of you could help with this one please? I was told a few weeks ago by one agent (can't remember which one) that the TRA assess experience on this basis: a) if you have worked 20 hours a week or more, then this is classed as full-time. b) if you have worked less than 20 hours a week, then any experience would be halved ie. 4 years at, say, 18 hrs a week would be classed as 2 years full time experience. does anyone know if this is true or not - i have had conflicting advice from a couple of agents; now don't know which one is right and obviously don't want to be paying anyone any money if they are not going to get us through the TRA assessment. thanks for your help!!
Guest Gollywobbler Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Hi SS23 I do not know the answer to your question. Mainly I am bumping it back up to the top for you. I have to say that I have read dozens if not hundreds of posts in which the gist of the advice given to people by professional RMAs seems to have been, "The requirement is 20 hours a week. Payslips proving 19.5 hours a week will not be sufficient...." I've never come across a suggestion that one can somehow calculate the number of hours worked so as to come up with an artificial period of experience. Somebody on here may well correct me - I do not claim to have any certainty at all about this. I'd suggest that you ring some more Agents tomorrow, before they all disappear for Christmas & New Year, to see whether you can get a definitve answer. Best wishes Gill
Guest keith lancaster Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 Hi. If you have a good agent they will not let you waste your hard earned. Try AMA in Manchester. they will put you straight
