Hi there to everyone, found this site last night, its ace knowing I am not alone:arghh:

My husband is already in oz has been there for 3 months now, leaving me and our two daughters behind, we thought it would be easier this way now I am not so sure,Our visa457 was logged last week so god knows when it will be sorted and we will be able to join him there, would just like to say thank you to you all for posting your blogs and writing about what is happining with your visa's its ace knowing I am not alone

Hi Tracy, glad the site has been of help. You are very brave letting your husband go on ahead. Not sure how I'd cope, although we may end up in the same position if the house isn't sold before he gets a job.

 

I think the 457 visas are a bit quicker than some of the other ones, but it will still be a few months. Hang in there and we're here for you to vent when needed!:)

Feeling really fed up today with it all, sick of mine n the kids lifes bin on hold,but will not give up.

Hope you sell your house and things go well,and your husband does not have to go out there without you, not nice been left at the airport. take care and good luck

at least the 457 visas seem to go through fairly quick so it should not be too long a wait

I'm out here as de facto on my o/h's 457, we applied at the end of April, my boyfriend's visa was granted mid may, but i had to provide evidence that we'd been together as long as we said, joint bank accounts statements etc, mine was granted 2 weeks later. As you're married with kids your application should go through pretty quickly & as other people have said the 457 process is usually quicker than most other visas.

 

I know it's hard feeling like your lifes on hold but it'll come through for you, it's a waiting game for a while but then everything happens so quickly. :goofy:

We have now been given a case worker, so not to sure how long it takes from there, you are so right about it been a waiting game, its DOING my head in, but will get there in the end, what part of oz are you in, my husband is in Bunbury near Perth.
