Hi we were receipted on Friday 7th. We waited 15 weeks for that. No file reference number though just confirming receipt and payment taken. Email from ASPC came via Agent and advised that ack. could be up to 12 weeks. Hoping it might be earlier than that though. OH going in on modl 136 skilled ind as brickie. What are you going in on? Claire
Guest charliebrown Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Its very odd how some can take so much longer than others - mine came through (with case number) within 10 days, but I've not heard anything more since.. Looking on here, I've seen plenty of COs assigned just weeks after acknowledgement, so I wouldnt worry too much..
Guest hels269 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Hi I got my acknowledgment on yesterday (11th December) and a file reference number. and sent it off mid november. I cant make sense of these timelines at all. Do things speed up when you get a case officer then ?? Is that nearing the end of the waiting ? Helen

Diane333 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Yeah thanks hope yours isn't too far behind!!!
Guest tahe49 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Lodged mine on 30 August, just received a receipt of money taken. It also states that I have to wait up to 12 weeks just for an acknowledgement and case number. MY GOD this is so frustrating. Just spoken with Agent and he says that most applications are processing in about 9 months. This means my 'in my head deadline' is being shifted back even further. I wanted to ensure I had left the UK by September but not sure this is realistic now. :arghh:
Guest stevebison2000 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 hi, im also going on a 136 as a plumber though. i see people on hear that applied after the changes (1 september) and they are getting visas granted in less than 3 months. while we have to wait 3 months just to get our payment taken. its so annoying. if id known better id have applied after 1 september and gone through the process of doing a ielts test. so frustrating as life has stopped and all future plans are hovering around this visa.
Guest hels269 Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Hi YEs I just read a thread about how people after 1st September are getting processed alot quicked than before. Apparently they have set up a new department for the post 1st Sept applications so there is fewer of them and therefore being processed quicker. Seems very odd that they wouldnt have thought this through before introducing the changes !! Mind you, some of there other processes seems odd too. Departments dont seem to "talk" to each other.. Like making people to an IELTS test to prove they have "post graduate level" english despite having just submitted proof of their post graduate degree from an English Uni, or asking my aunty to send EVERY document to them again despite only seeing them last year to grant HER permanent residency. Oh well. What doesnt kill us makes us stronger, or something like that. Good luck everyone and fingers crossed for the pre 1st September lot, it seems unfair. H
