David Kenning
Had our first BBQ at a park today and just wondered about how clean you are expected to leave the BBQ after using it? At home I clean the debris off and give it a good soapy wash the next time I use it. What is the expectation when using a public one? Cheers. Guest Guest66881
Leave it as you found it works, unless your unfortunate to be the one after the dolers/bogans.
ali
Would agree, leave it as you find it ... we sometimes take some baking paper with us (especially if using marindaded meat), keeps it clean for others
newjez
Salt oil and newspaper works best for us - before and after. It's pretty easy to do. It'll never be spotless as they are out in the elements. I've never found a really dirty one tbh.
David Kenning
Thanks, thought it was best to give it a clean.
TristanH
Leave it as good as you found it Clean up your own mess is a good saying that my mum never taught me.
Harpodom
I've been appalled at the state of the BBQs I've used recently. Its like they used it and then just buggered off with no attempt to get rid of all the black stuff, and theres a lot. When i'm finished I just scrape all the crud off with my barbie tool and give it a once over with a cloth. Looks a damn sight better than how I found it.. My favourite one locally is overlooking the main beach in Torquay. I cook whilst the wife and kids play on the beach. Views over the ocean. Amazing really.
